There is so much of the world out there to see, but sometimes finances do not allow you to travel as much as you would like. Or the case could be that you are frugal and want to do and see more by saving money on travel expenses. You can save and explore. Below you will find some ideas to try.
Be flexible. Don’t lock yourself into flying late morning or early afternoon, either. It is said that you should look for flights early morning, 5 to 7 am, or after 8 pm.
When to travel: Travel gurus state that the dead weeks are in January (until Martin Luther King Day) and February (excluding Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day, which fall around the same time this year). Also: the first two weeks of December.
Set up weekly emails for your trip destinations, or dream trips. You may even learn of discount airlines you were not familiar with during your browsing.
Plan! One of the most enjoyable things about travel is the anticipation. By planning a trip every 12 to 18 months, it gives you a time to save, research, and find the best deals.
Happy saving and even happier traveling!
